KOTITI Testing & Research Institute (chairman Jung Soo Kim) is designated as 8th Testing & Inspection institute for Environmentally hazardous factors in children’s activity area from National Institute of Environmental Research, last March 31st. Ministry of Environment(MOE) only designates the testing institute as testing institute for environmentally hazardous factors which satisfies strict qualifications including testing capacity, legal corporate personality, and KOTITI has satisfied all conditions. Testing Institute tests the contaminant of heavy metal, formaldehyde and other hazardous substances in paint, finishing, soil, woods used in children’s activity area. Since its foundation in 1961, KOTITI has led the development of Korean textile industries and expanded its business area to water analysis, E&E products, new generation energy, cosmetics and etc. And by adding new designation, KOTITI could facilitate its new service area. With this as momentum, KOTITI will play a key role in securing safety in commercial products to keep health and safety of the public people as designated testing institute. Also based on its R&D competency, KOTITI will be able to contribute to improvement of people’s health and safety.
