KOTITI conducts safety compliance evaluations of designated consumer chemical products to verify compliance with safety standards, helping prevent risks to human health, ensure legal compliance by companies, and support the distribution of safe products.

Consumer Chemical Product Subject to Safety Verification

What is Consumer Chemical Product Subject to Safety Verification?
Under Articles 3(3), 4, 8, 9, and 10 of the Consumer Chemical Products and Biocides Safety Control Act,
any person intending to manufacture or import consumer chemical products subject to safety verification (for which safety standards have been publicly announced) must, every three years, undergo safety compliance testing/inspection and report the results to the Minister of Environment.
What are Consumer Chemical Products?
Chemical products used in daily living spaces such as homes, offices, and multi-use facilities, which may cause human or environmental exposure to chemical substances.
What is Consumer Chemical Products Subject to Safety Verification?
Consumer chemical products designated and publicly announced by the Ministry of Climate, Energy and Environment under Article 8(1) and (3) of the Consumer Chemical Products and Biocides Safety Control Act, based on risk assessment results identifying them as hazardous.

Safety Compliance Verification and Reporting Procedure

The validity period of a safety verification report for household chemical products is three years. Within 90 days prior to the expiration date, manufacturers or importers must undergo a new safety compliance assessment through a designated testing and inspection agency.
