Quality Labeling Reinforcement on Solid Fuel Products

• In accordance with the Act on the Promotion of Saving and Recycling of Resources, it aims to improve the quality of Solid Fuel with established testing methods and to conserve the environment by promoting use of recycled energy resources.
• Solid Fuel refers to the products made by combustible wastes, such as Solid Refuse Fuel products (SRF) and Bio Solid Refuse Fuel products (BIO-SRF).
• KOTITI has been designated by Ministry of Environment as Solid Fuel Quality Labeling Agency since 2016. (Notification number: 2016-45)

Related regulations

• In accordance with the Act on the Promotion of Saving and Recycling of Resources, those who intends to manufacture and import the Solid Fuel products should undergo inspection to check the compliance with quality standards of Ministry of Environment.
• ※ Quality Labeling check points include size, appearance, calorific value, total moisture, ash content, determination of volatile matter, fusibility of ash, bulk density, determination for carbon, hydrogen, nitrogen, chlorine, sulfur, metals and biomass content.
