Five SIFI(Shanghai Institute of Fiber Inspection) officials including Lu Linhua, the president of the SIFI, and Zhang Cheng, deputy director of Shanghai Municipal Bureau of Quality and Technical Supervision, visited Korea Textile and Inspection Institute(KOTITI) in October 31, 2011. The visit was started with the introductions of KOTITI’s business and vision. The visitors looked around KOTITI’s testing and research facilities and checked the testing process. The visitors also celebrated KOTITI 50th anniversary and highly praised KOTITI’s facilities. SIFI, under the Shanghai Municipal Bureau of Quality and Technical Supervision, is responsible for testing fibers and textile in Shanghai. Both sides discussed on establishing lab in China and joint venture for mutual developments. They reconfirmed their relationship as partners and pledged their mutual cooperation and support. Recording to the survey by China Textile Association, China textile market will be expanding more and it is expected to grow at a strong and sustainable 15 percent yearly. To keep pace with the rapid change in the China textile industry, KOTITI have established overseas offices in Qingdao(2006) and Shanghai(2007), and overseas operations in Dalian (2008) and Yantai(2009). It is expected to play an important role on expanding its presence in China market and leading China textile industry.
