KOTITI Testing & Research Institute (Chairman Jung Soo Kim) was designated as an authorized testing institute for livestock products from the Ministry of Food and Drug Safety in October 5th.
KOTITI has decided to apply for the designation in order to secure the safety of food and livestock products which is directly connected to the health of the nation, and also to fulfill the role as a public institution. To this end, KOTITI have been endeavoring to strengthen the analysis abilities of food and livestock with state-of-the-are facilities.
In consequence of such effort, KOTITI was designated as an authorized testing institute for livestock products in October 5th, following the designation in March as a Norovirus testing institute for drinking-water, etc.
As a result of this designation, KOTITI is now able to carry out identification and quantitative analysis of livestock products as well as the physicochemical tests of preservatives, artificial sweeteners, toxic heavy metals, and the microbial safety tests including microorganism, general bacteria, and E. coli, according to the official test methods.
As KOTITI has been acknowledged its abilities to carry out self-inspection tests for food and livestock products, KOTITI will contribute to improving its safety management through quality assessment, testing, and inspection.
