Cost distribution in ring spinning

In this article an analysis of cost distribution in ring spinning is presented by Swiss spinning frami makers, Rieter. The costs are borken down by process and by type of cost. The advantages of using Rieter's Robofil automation module are highlighted.

Production and uses of wrap-spun yarns

The production and properties of wrap-spun knitting yarns are considered. It iss hown that these yarns needed to have fewer fibres in the cross-section than ring-spun yarns and are more uniform than rotor-spun yarns from similar raw materials. Fabrics knitted from these yarns have a uniform loop structure and a soft handle.

Mule spinning

A project for the mule spinning of fine-count wool and angora yarns is briefly described. Wool/recovered wool/synthetic fibre yarns can also be produced satisfactorily.

Problem solving in spinning. IV. The problem of overlong fibres in synthetic fiber extrustion

The origins, extent and formation of overlong fibres, the problems they cause in the spinning process and measures whcih can be taken to improve thins are discussed in relation to spinning synthetic staple fibres. Effect of the method of feeding a scutching unit on the quality of yarns produced on the worsted system.

The replacement of the system of feeders on the scutching machines in the title system for spinning cotton yarns improves yarn fatigue strength and hairiness and reduces the number of yarn defects.

Tension controller
