The effect of two cationic surfactants on the wettability of three fluorochemically- and corona-treated nonwoven fabrics is studied. The water contact angle, demand wettability and static absorption are measured. It is concluded that surfactant build-up on the surface of the fibres reduces the water repellency of the fabrics.
