The level of Japanese textile machinery sales is assessed up to the end of 1991. Exprots account for 84 of sales currently, with the Asian market the most important for Japan. Whilst that market continues to grow the European and US markets have shrunk slightly. Imports of textile machinery into Japan nave remained fairly static meanwhile.
