Part One of this series of articles discussed the effects of fiber manufacturing, fiber structure, spinning texturing, singeing, heat setting, deszing scouring, bleaching, and oligomers on the dyeing of polyester. Part Two examines the dyeing of polyester/wool and polyester/cellulosic blends. Scouring, creabbing, heat setting, dyeing processes, carrier dyeing, dye selection, dispersing agents, measures to minimze staining, methods to minimize damage, and the correction of faulty dyeing are discussed.
