Valves and actuators made from plastics and acdvanced composite materials are replacing valves made from stainless steel, alloys, titanium, and other exotics due to their inherent corrosion resistance, reduced weight, and lower cost. Applications for nonmetal valves and actuators include steel mills, pulp and paper plants, wastewater treatment facilities, and petrochemical refineries. Nonmetal and innovative alloy products include CVP's Mark VII line of flat-faced fitting, Fisher Controls' Enviro-Seal bellows, Jordan Valve's Mark 87P regulating valve, Duriron's Durco BTV-2000 butterfly valves, Honeywell Skinnre's 7000 Series solenoid valves and integrated coils, Rotary Actuator's pneumatic rotary actuators, Robbins && Myers' RKL Series LAF pinch valves, Everlasting Valve's self lapping sear valve for abrasive slurries, Saunders' weir type diaphragm valves, Keystone-Vanessa's Series 30,000 rotaly valve, Badger's Orion Model 900 Class 300 globe valve, Collin's series 1000 and 2000 control valves Argus' control and positioner valves, General Precision's hand valves, bleeder valves, and miniature flow control devices, Hayward's line of plastic valves, and Nil-Cor's ball and butterfly valves.
