Since its inception in 1984, QR technology has changed and grown significantly, driven by consumer demand for new products and assisted by advances in computer technology. In particular, the rapidly improving ability of computers to analyze data has facilitated QR technology. For industries to take full advantage of QR technology, standardization in communications, or at least the compatibility of standards, is necessary. An effective QR system extends to a company's suppliers, its manufacturing and design operations, and its customers. Optimally, a comapny only begins production when a customized order is received, replacing conventional stock replenishment production.
