Over the last three decades, there has been tremendous growth and development of man-made fibres in every area, ie newer materials, development of existing fibres, production technology, improvement in properties and diversity in applications. Still, the search for further development by engineers, technologists, scientists and fibre manufacturers, is growing. This article deals with the developments of man-made fibres in different areas.
