The manager of a leading cotton recycling mill in Pakistan makes recommendations for creating a cotton recycling operation in the Far East. Nasim A. Minhas of the Farooq Waste Trading Company believes that increasing population growth and the occurrence of natural disasters that have adverse affects on cotton yields will support a large and growing recycling industry in Asia. Minhas reviews the types of cotton wastes that are generated by ginning and spinning mills and are suitable for recycling. His discussion of recyling machinery includes mechanical descriptions and a cost analysis of feeding, cleaning, and opening equipment suitable for processing recycled fibers into yarns or nonwoven fabrics.
