Automation a Key Facet of ITMA Machinery Introductions

In August 1995, the American Textile Machinery Association (ATMA) will sponsor an orientation seminar, ATMA Presents ITMA '95, so that visitors can preview equipment to be shown at ITMA 1995. ATMA officials expect that automation will play a key role in the areas of weaving, spinning, knitting, nonwovens, warping/slashing, dyeing/drying/finishing, fiber/filaments/texturing, and electronics/controls/monitoring/computer integrated manufacturing. In addition to greater automation, organizers expect that new technology at ITMA 1995 will emphasize such improvements to existing systems as faster speeds, better machine efficiencies, more electronics and computerization, and easier handling and maintenance. Seminar participants will include Marzoli, Murata, Pignone, Savio, Somet, Sulzer Ruti, Symtech, Tsudakoma, and West Point Foundry and Machine.
