The nature of wastes from the manufacture of polyester bottles and ways in which their characteristics can be matched to end-use applications are discussed. Recycling takes place from every stage of the manufacturing process. Destinations appropriate to wastes from these stages are indicated including fibre production. Post-consumer recycling is also described.
