A cutting device comprises rotating discs equipped with fingers. Clamping discs, having rims extending next to the fingersin a clamping area, are located at the rear sides of the discs and rotate with them. A cutting blade is disposed in the clamping area at a location at which the blade will cut the fibres between the fingers clamping the fibres to the rims of the clamping ciscs. IPC D01G.
