A method of manufacturing solid viscose rayon fibres of 0.5-5.0 dtex and having a multi-limbed cross-sectional shape comprises: extruding viscose through a spinneret having several multi-limbed extrusion holes into a spin bath containing sulphuric acid, zine sulphate and sodium sulphate to form a tow of solid filaments; stretching the filament tow; cutting the filaments of form staple fibres; and washing and drying the staple fibres.
