The characteristics of textile materials containing metal fibres were investigated. Metal fibres can be incorporated to impart antistatic properties and for the production of protective clothing. Significant changes in textile properties were observed following the incorporation of metal fibres. These included a decrease in tenacity and greater resistance to tension in post-spinning operations and during use.
