A general dyeing formulation for treating fibres, yarns, woven and knitted and nonwoven fabrics is presented. An aqueous dye bath at pH 1-12 is used at 20-250C and one or several dyes from the class comprising azo, anthraquinone, cumarin, methine, azomethine, quinophthalone or nitro dyes are employed.
