Cotton Incorporated maintains dyeing and finishing laboratories to develop seasonal color forecasts, special dyeing techniques, and special finishes, and to evaluate dyeing and finishing equipment and procedures. The laboratories are capable of performing such processes as cotton and cotton blend preparation, bleaching, color matching, dyeing, printing, and finishing. Equipment at the laboratories is listed. Some examples of research are shrinkage control, open width pad/batch dyeing, garment dyeing, and low wet pickup finish applications.
