Montefibre is the only European producer capable of supplying the most complete range of polyester and acrylic microfibers in both filament ayrn and staple form. Montefibre's first efforts in decitex reduction can be traced to the development in the 1980s of its Terital Silklike, a polyester filament yarn, and Terital Zero.4, the first European microfiber continuous filament yarn, which is still the finest polyester microfilament in Europe. Terital Zero.4 is used in warp knitting to obtain fabrics with over 6,000 filaments per square centimeter. In the 1990s, Montefibre has introduced Terital Microspun for short-staple spinning systems, and Terital Fine Denier, a 0.9 dtex filament yarn for knitwear, sportswear, and pile fabrics. In acrylic 0.80 dtex, and Leacril Micor, which has been specifically designed for short-staple spinning.
