A textbook discusses selected applications of Fourier transform infrared (FT-IR) systems. A section on fundamental information explores FT-IR systems, scanning conditios, infrared microscopes, attenuated total reflection, multiple internal reflection, diffusion reflection accessories, photoacoustic detectors, fixed angle and variable angle specular reflection accessories, and emission accessories. A section on selected applications of FT-IR spectroscopy includes analysis of film and film-like samples, fibers and fabrics, powder and bulky samples, thin films formed on solid surfaces, liquid samples, biological samples, and semiconducting and superconducting materials.
