Effectiveness of cleaning cotton fibres on once-through cleaning machines (Russian)

The low cleaning efficiency of the title cleaning machines is shown to be due to the formation on the surface of the toothed cylinder of a web of fibres, the thickness of which does not exceed 3.0 mm and which is commensurate with the gap between the toothed cylinder and the bars. The probability of the fibres being retained by the teeth and of them passing through the space between the teeth is determined.
