Fuji Spinning Develops Cation-Dyeable Cellulosic Fiber.

Fuji Spinnig Company Limited recently developed the technology to produce cationic dyeable cellulosic fibers. The technology will increase the application of cellulosic fibers. They fiber will be used initially in World Company Limited's Linear collection of casualwear for the 1998 spring/summer season. The process ionizes Celltima fibers, which are highly polymerized polynosic fibers. The technology takes advantage of the ion exchange function of Celltima fibers to attain new fiber properties. Blends with other materials can be dyed easily in the same tones and prints. The crosslinking technology used to produce these cationic dyeable cellulose fibers generates no wastewater.
