Benninger's Ben-Indigo system for dyeing and finishing denim requires considerably less water and power and offers improved control of the dye, resulting in less effluent. The system uses three immersion baths and fixes the dye with fewer reducing agents and chemicals than do conventional machines. The Ben-Link system for tying-off yarns without machine downtime is also described.
