the situation where a crop manager has direct access to a computer is increasingly common. this has the potential to cause profound changes in crop management, but the requisite software is as yet largely unavilable. here a preliminary report is presented on a package of computer programs designed to aid in cotton crop management. the package is now being used, on an experimental basis, by the cotton extension workers in the coastal plains region of israel. after thorough testing, these programs and those added in the future will be made available to growers
