a new series of formulations has been developed based on an alcohol in commercial use in other applications for over 30 years the formulations are used in a range of applications in electronics manufacturing today, including plated through-hole and surface mount assembly, hybrid circuits fabrication, precision parts cleaning, and bare board cleaning. in each of these applications, the new alcohol formulations bring several advantages to the designer' good cleaning performance, process flexibility and compatibility, plus a benign environmental impact. the alcohols' compatibility with recently developed reverse osmosis membrane technology permits closed-loop technology to play a role in the search for a totally nonpolluting cleaning operation
