the authors report a reversible conductivity change of polypyrrole with ph of the solution, investigated by an in situ conductivity measurement. a novel enzyme sensor is fabricated by coating the microarray electrode with polypyrrole and penicillinase membranes. the enzyme reaction acidifies the polypyrrole membrane, resulting in the increase in the electrical conductivity of polypyrrole
