the quality indices of articles under lathe treatment are the correspondence of the dimensions to those assigned, the frequency of surface treatment, and the deviation from circular shape. it is noted that the majority of lathe tools with numerical program control used in the gap system are not equipped with control units and therefore the control facilities should take account of the structure features of the appropriate equipment. the authors investigate fibre optic converters with external modulation of the light flux intensity, used for active control of the beats of rotating articles during treatment as well as to search for information parameters to estimate the possibility of controlling the purity of surface treatment and linear dimensions
