improvements in fully automatic washing machines have been concentrated in the mechanical elements, but from the point of view of resource- and energy-saving, and the need to handle an increasing variety of garments, there has been a growing demand for control systems of greater sophistication. problems have arisen with conventional mechanical controllers when it comes to functional control or increasing difficulty of operation as controllers become more complex. the authors describe the specifications, operating method and software configuration of the aw-300 fully automatic washing machine recently developed incorporating a microprocessor for increased ease of operation
