the patent application relates to a copper mirror and method of treating copper reflective surfaces, so that they may be used in a laser system. a copper mirror is placed in a vacuum chamber and ions are implanted into the surface to produce a good reflective surface which will not tarnish or be damaged by high-power lasers.
