waste recycling in cotton spinning and weaving mills has become more and more attractive in the last few years for several reasons: the cost of raw cotton has been rising steadily; waste recycling allows significant savings in the hard currencies used to buy the raw cotton; recycling reduces the costs of handling and disposing of the waste; and limited cotton crops in certain areas of the world due to severe meteorological conditions. in this article, laroche, the french specialists in textile waste recycling equipment first classify the various types of wastes available, then describe the equipment used to process it and finally show how the processed waste can be mixed back in the original blend or used separately for spinning yarns (up to ne 10) from 100 waste
