influence of three cover crops (wheat, vetch, and crimson clover) and no-cover condition combined with three planting techniques and two cover kill schemes on cotton performance is investigated over a three year period. plant dynamics and soil environment parameters are discussed. the influence of these factors is examined and some observations concerning cultural practices are made. 12 refs
