the objective of the study described was to adopt a practical methodology for short-range transportation improvements that are fully responsive to the problem of recreational resources near an urban area. the methodology was applied to alleviate the transportation and related problems of ski resorts of little cottonwood canyon of utah. a specific park-and-ride bus transit system has been recommended for the study resort on the basis of economic factors and community responses
