a brush-type stripper was modified to fit double-row plantings having the two rows on each bed 30 to 40 cm apart. performance characteristics were compared with those of a finger-type stripper during two seasons of field testing. the brush stripper proved to be more tolerant of adverse conditions and had lower field losses, less trash with the seed cotton, and higher gin turnouts. 4 refs
