an investigation is presented of the use of fiber optic converters (foc) with external modulation of the light flux intensity, for active control of the beats of rotating articles during lathe treatment. also investigated was the use of foc parameters to control the surface treatment and linear dimensions the experiments with turning of cylinders demonstrated, in principal, the use of foc for automatic active control of parameters of articles of cylindrical shape in gap. 4 refs
