various methods of determining the permeability of textile fabrics to the passage of water vapor have been developed and described. several uncoated fabrics were tested, as well as fabrics with a polytetrafluoroethylene film, fabrics with microporous polyurethane films, and fabrics with hydrophilic coatings. the accuracy of the apparatus was determined by measuring the water vapor resistance of still air layers.
