the field of application of fibre reinforced plastics has expanded cosiderably in recent years. the mouldings are often machined in order, for example, to obtain highly toleranced working surfaces. a study was thus made of the surface finishes, the cutting forces, the temperatures and the extent of cutting tool wear, when turning various fibre composite materials.
