some details concerning different plasma reactors construction are given. these reactors were used to investigate chosen plasmachemical processes such as: minerals processing, oxides reduction, coal and methane pyrolysis nitric oxides synthesis, powder spheroidization and glass and polyester fibre surface treatment. the lowest power outlay per product mass unit at the highest process rate were found for the case of reactors with rotating plasma which are now the most promising tool for mineral processing. on the other hand, microwave plasma reactors allow to conduct efficiently some processes difficult to lead in other reactors (eg. fiber surface treatment).
