a study was made of the effect of surface treatment of glass fiber with beryllium acetate and polyisobutylene on the stability of the glass in a solidifying cement medium. it was found that a polyisobutylene film does not protect glass fiber from alkali corrosion. after glass fiber was treated with a 1 aqueous solution of beryllium acetate, its surface is not destroyed in an alkali medium and no reaction between the glass and an aggressive solidifying cement medium is observed. 6 refs. in russian
