silk screen printing, screen process printing, stencil printing, serigraphy or mitorgaphy, all describe a printing process in which ink is forced through a woven mesh in a selective manner so as to produce a controlled image, repeatedly. this paper reviews the most important features of screen decorating technique which is capable of generating the richest and most lush results of all of the decorating processes. ink deposition, the braille effect, opacity, gloss and color intensity, are all unrivaled. the detailed discussion covers two recent developments in screen printing. (1) uv curing of screen decorated, plastic molded parts; and (2) the screen decoration of pet molded parts. pad-transfer printing is the newest and most exciting decorating technique to become available to the molding and plastic container industries. it provides a decorating system which is capable of multi-color printing without the need for uniformity on the surface to be decorated
