silk screen printing, screen process printing, stencil printing, serigraphy, or mitography all describe a printing process in which ink is forced through a woven mesh in a selective manner so as to produce a controlled image, repeatedly. this first part of the paper describes the screen printing techniques applied to decoration of containers glass-molded from pe and also from other plastics. in the second part of their contribution, the authors deal vith the pad-transfer decoration and equipment used. this decorating technique is discussed under headings $em dash$ plate masking; pads; inks; machine cycle; advantages of $left double quote$ padflex $right double quote$ printing system which has the ability to print multi-colors wet-on-wet without intermeidate drying because upon printing, most or all of the ink on the pad is released to the part, and subsequent prints do not disturb existing wet printing
