none of dependences known in literature for the calculation of granular material bed porosity permits precise calculation of grainy-fibrous material bed porosity. porosity of a bed of grainy-fibrous materials in the course of fluidization with the fluidization numbers k//w $equals$ 0-2.0 was studied. it is ascertained that during fluidization of grainy-fibrous materials using hydrodynamically active jets the bed porosity varies from 0.6 to 0.85. results of the calculations made by the formula suggested, relating porosity and fibrous nature $eta$ , agree qualitatively with the experiment over the whole range of condition parameters variation and $eta$ $equals$ 1 - 2.32. it is emphasized that for the calculation of drying apparatuses for granular-fibrous materials $eta$ of similar materials should be regarded. 8 refs. in russian
