this work presents a mathematical description of the kinetics of cottonseed oil hydrogenation over a nickel-aluminum catalyst. for the construction of the mathematical model of the reaction kinetics three mechanisms for saturation of the double bonds in triglyceride radicals are proposed. experimental data show that the best agreement of calculated and experimental concentrations is obtained with the kinetic equations which correspond to the third model. 2 refs
