this paper discusses the effectiveness of steam/pressure treatments in improving digestibility of cellulosic waste such as cotton seed hull and corn cobs. cotton seed hulls and corn cobs containing 20 moisture were separately treated with different concentrations of alkalis and were autoclaved at 121 $degree$ c for different lengths of time after keeping at room temperature for 24 h the treated materials were then dried. optimum conditions were investigated for maximum digestibility and for maximum increase in dry matter digestibility. 17 refs
