tests were conducted at the rahad research station field and in tenants' fields to investigate the technical and economical feasibility of mechanical harvesting of acala cotton under rahad conditions and the performance of three makes of cotton harvesters the objective was to select the appropriate and suitable mechancial harvesting system for the rahad.
