droplet size measurements were made to obtain definitive information on the effects of several factors on the size distribution of cottonseed and soybean oil spray droplets produced by fan nozzles under simulated aerial application conditions. results indicated that the droplet size distribution is affected by airspeed, nozzle orientation and the physical characteristics of the oil visual observation of the fan nozzles spraying cottonseed and soybean oil in an airstream revealed that the droplet formation process for the oil differs greatly from that for water-based spray.
