electrometric titration curves and isoelectric points of castor, sunflower, mustard and cottonseed proteins have been reported. by carrying out such titrations at different temperatures and employing van't hoff equation, the heats of ionization in different ph regions have been calculated. this enables identification and estimation of various reactive groups ionizing at increasing ph values from a single titration curve. the amino, guanidinium and carboxylic groups have been determined separately from the titration curves in the presence of formaldehyde.
