ic chips are conventionally mounted with their contact pads directly connected to the terminals on a ceramic or epoxy glass p/c board. as circuit-packaging applications require increasing packaging densities, the separation distance between adjacent ic chips on the p/c board decreases. when changes are necessary, it becomes difficult to make discrete wire connections which are to be spliced between the chip pad and the board terminal. the invention disclosed solves this problem by providing a flat, flexible interconnection strip which has a conductor on one side to electrically connect to the contact pad on the chip and a conductor on the opposite side to electrically contact the corresponding terminal on the p/c board
