parameters needed for an accurate interpretation of the 3d**n ground configurations within the framework of the slater-condon theory, are determined by generalized least square techniques from energy levels of various ions simultaneously. two kinds of assumptions on the smooth evolution of the parameters, along a period of ions of the same charge or along an isoelectronic sequence are used successively. the energy levels and probabilities for magnetic dipole transitions are predicted for ions of some elements injected recently in tokamak plasmas.
